Matthew Thompson is the Managing Director of M.P. Thompson & Associates.
Matthew secured a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University in 2000 and was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2001.
Matthew has been a Registered Migration Agent on a continuing basis since 2003 and a long serving Member of both the Migration Institute of Australia and the Law Society of South Australia.
During his early years working as a Solicitor for another firm in South Australia, Matthew practiced in a number of different areas of law and regularly acted as both Solicitor and Barrister on behalf of a variety of clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Matthew has always been passionate about the practice of Australian Migration Law. He has a long held, and genuine, desire to assist clients in securing Australian visas and, when required, Australian Citizenship.
In early 2006, Matthew decided that it was time to commence practice in his own right. Rather than attempt to provide services to clients across numerous areas of law, he was determined that his new firm, M.P. Thompson & Associates, would primarily focus upon the provision of specialist services to clients with respect to Australian Migration Law.
Since April 2006, Matthew has assisted hundreds of clients both in Australia and overseas to secure temporary visas, permanent visas and grants of Australian Citizenship. He has represented clients in successful appeal hearings before various Courts and Tribunals throughout Australia and submitted a number of successful applications directly to the Honourable Minister for Immigration and Border Protection in circumstances where all other appeal avenues have been exhausted. His clients range from individuals seeking short term Tourists visas to multi-national corporations seeking long term employment visas for specialist international employees.
Away from the office, Matthew is a proud husband and father and a parochial supporter of the Adelaide Crows.
